Responsibilities:

  1. MARKETING PLANNING: Develop, communicate, maintain and implementation of comprehensive global marketing plan, and associated economic models, for his/her market.
  2. INNOVATION PIPELINE: Work in close partnership with 1. R&D to prioritize and justify innovation projects based on financial projections and strategic fit. 2. Commercial Team to develop and maintain a robust front-end innovation pipeline based on end-users and customers’ needs and establish pricing strategy. Ensure business cases are scalable, defendable, and sustainable.
  3. SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTISE: He/she is considered as the subject matter expert for his/her market: constantly scan the environment, keep abreast analyzing industry trends and assessing business impact, analyze competitions and threats, and identify innovation opportunities for market positioning of products and go-to-market strategies.
  4. RECOMMENDATIONS, COMMUNICATION & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Frequently communicate with the management teams (ALT, LELT as needed) for business recommendations generating maximum return on investment and for updates on market information, value chain analysis, potential market opportunities and risks.
  5. INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT: Keep a high level of engagement with key customers, industry players, and relevant policy and standards influencers.

Requirements:

Education & Professional Background:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, or economics
  2. MBA and/or technical graduate degree is desirable
  3. A minimum of 10+ years of professional experience
  4. Experience in 1 or more functions: strategy, equity analyst, marketing, product management, engineering, business development, new product development/launch
  5. Participated in 1 or more industries: consulting, private equity, automotive, new energy vehicles or related supply chain, energy storage, petroleum or petrochemicals, specialty chemicals

Knowledge & Skills

  1. Experience building Marketing/Business Plan in B2B environment
  2. Ability to quantify and analyze market trends & needs, key players & competitions, addressable market size, value propositions, pricing strategy
  3. Understand how to develop market insights for targeted market segment. Be able to translate them into definable business opportunities and action plan
  4. Creative thinker who can evaluate problems from multiple angles and seek supporting facts to support theories and hypotheses… ability to think big and make it happen
  5. Financial acumen and numerical analytical abilities
  6. Strong organizational skills; ability to manage and prioritize tasks/projects; independent and self-driven
  7. Excellent team player with leadership skills:
  8. Demonstrated track record of influencing and leading teams through thought leadership
  9. Bringing people of diverse functions, culture, and geography together to achieve target output
  10. Quick learner with excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills:
  11. Ability to self-learn new markets, players, technologies, applications
  12. - Develop compelling presentation based on facts and figures
  13. • Ability to develop rapport with internal and external stakeholders, leadership, customers
