Our client is a global biotechnology company that focuses on developing innovative and affordable medicines for cancer patients, and which has its headquarters in Beijing, China, as well as offices and facilities in other cities and countries.

Your new role

As a legal counsel, you are expected to ensure the company adheres to the law and gives legal advice and guidance to the management and other stakeholders, conduct legal research and analysis on relevant issues and provide legal opinions and solutions.

Meanwhile, you will draft, review, negotiate, and finalize various legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, policies, etc.

In addition, you will also manage legal risks and mitigating potential liabilities, handle litigation, arbitration, mediation, or dispute resolution involving the company or its affiliates.

Moreover, supervising and coordinating the work of external legal counsel and service providers, as well as providing legal training and education to the staff and management are also expected to become your responsibilities.

What you'll need to succeed

• A master’s degree or higher in law from a reputable university.
• A valid license to practice law in one or more jurisdictions.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in corporate law, commercial law, or a related field.
• Knowledge of the industry-specific laws and regulations.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
