Our client is a subsidiary and a China-based biopharmaceutical company that focuses on the research, development, manufacturing, and commercialization of vaccines that protect against human infectious disease.

Your new role

As a legal of head, you are expected to lead and manage the legal department, and p rovide legal guidance on a wide range of legal matters such as contracts, regulatory compliance, litigation, employment law, intellectual property and corporate governance.

Meanwhile, you will o versee the operation of the legal department and ensure that all legal activities are aligned with the organization’s goals and values, conduct legal training for staff and promoting a culture of legal awareness and compliance across the organization.

In addition, you will also draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents with internal and external parties.

Moreover, identifying and mitigating legal risks and advising the senior management on the legal implications of business decisions and policies are also expected to become your responsibilities.

What you'll need to succeed

• A law degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the core legal function.
• Senior management experience and post-qualified experience in the relevant industry or jurisdiction.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strategic thinking, leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of the local and international legal system and regulations.
• Fluency in English a as required.
