Your new role

• Responsible for leading the Neuroscience discovery team to drive projects from target selection to IND enabling with clear priorities and roadmap

• Develop a solid working model and governance mechanism involving cross functional R&D colleagues to secure alignment and endorsement, and meantime share scientific insights and results to drive aglined priorities, keep all the projects on track, deliver on time and mitigate the potential risks.

• Leverage scientific expertise & business competition landscape analysis to identify neuroscience gene therapy business opportunities, develop and adjust the TA pipeline to address the identified priorities, and formulate response strategies in a timely manner

• Lead the team to build the neuroscience related technology platform, develop appropriate methods according to the project, ensure the R&D work can be carried out smoothly, develop the scientific research ability of the team, and improve team’s overall technical level;

• Responsible for preclinical pharmacology and toxicology declaration of neuroscience drugs, formulate and review preclinical safety evaluation and assist in the corresponding patent application;

• Validate Neuroscience disease target with various technologies, and drive research programs together with other functional team, provide necessary support for the construction of key platforms related to the project;

What you'll need to succeed

• PhD in Neuroscience/Neurobiology or other life science sector with good track record of discovery experiences in MNCs, excellent English reading, writing and literature research skills.

• 10+ years of relevant work experience, able to lead a team in translational R&D, with demonstrated success in bringing drugs to IND and beyond to market is preferred. Published (IF>10) research in neurodegenerative diseases is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to balance scientific priorities with business priorities, ability to influence others in order to create a positive working environment.
