The role will act as the focal point as interface for Chinese partners/clients investing in the program, to be an important part of a highly self-disciplined and multi-disciplinary project team.
The activities will be primarily dedicated to the program, but also needs to be ready to support other Chinese partners/clients initiatives and activities in Middle East upon request.
The job will have very high internal exposure, requiring close interactions and coordination with business development, engineering, process, commercial, etc, to make sure deliverables to meet client’s expectation and deadline; and vice versa client’s deliverables to meet the expectation/deadline of the program and relevant local stakeholders & partners.
Your new role
- Work as the focal point and external interface, with very close interactions with Chinese partners/clients.
- Identify the potential opportunities in the projects, where involvement of Chinese partners/clients fits their interest.
- Identify, suggest and engage Chinese potential partners, understand their strategies, plans, goals, priorities, and recommend and apply the best approach and value proposition to different partners/clients.
- Develop, build and maintain strong connection, to guarantee continuous engagement, and provide required supports and comforts for them to make investment decisions.
- Build collaborative and close relationship with various teams, to organize and coordinate all the internal works and resources to address client’s request within the given deadline.
- Strong sense of responsibility and capability of handling sensitive information with high confidence about company and partners/clients.
- As the client interface, support BD in interactions with local stakeholders and business negotiations.
- Travel at high frequency domestically or across the region.
Your major responsibility
- Chinese native, understanding deeply the Chinese mindset and culture in the business areas.
- At least 10 years of experience in steel and mining industry.
- Technical education background in metallurgical, material processing or engineering is not a must, but is strongly desirable.
- Strong knowledge on Chinese steel industry, market and clients, with >8 years of experience in marketing, or/and other business areas that requires client relationship management skills.
- Capable of identifying priorities, and proactive in taking quick actions/reactions to adapt to the changing priorities.
- High level of autonomy and independent problem-solving skills under complex situation
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, with efficiency and capability to convince and influence decision making.
- Strongly resilient and perseverant to deliver in multi-task and stressful environment to meet deadline.
- Strong capability of understanding and comprehension of complexed problems and processes
- Very organized and patient in handling with requested job both in details or at macro level
- Strong team spirits, enjoy and promote collaboration across multiple areas and in a multi-cultural environment
- Open, agile, self-motived and keen to learn.
- Speaking fluent English; Portuguese and/or Arabic is a plus.
