Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the company has maintained strong growth momentum. Due to business expansion, they are now seeking a new Legal Manager to join their team.
Your New Role
As the Managing Counsel, you will be responsible for supporting all day-to-day legal matters of the company, including distributor management, e-commerce support, advertising law, consumer complaints, potential dispute resolution, data compliance, and other legal issues as required. This role demands proactive engagement with complex legal issues and strategic collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Corporate Governance: Ensure compliance with corporate governance practices and provide legal advice to management on corporate matters.
E-commerce Support: Offer legal guidance on e-commerce operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Distributor Management: Oversee legal matters related to distributor agreements, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
Dispute Resolution & Litigation: Manage and resolve disputes, including consumer complaints and potential litigation, to protect the company’s interests.
Data Privacy & Compliance: Ensure the company adheres to data privacy laws and implements measures to mitigate legal risks associated with data protection.
Legal Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks across various business functions, proactively providing solutions to complex legal challenges.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align legal strategies with business objectives.
What You Need to Succeed
A Bachelor’s degree or above in Law and a PRC Bar qualification is mandatory.
A minimum of 8 years of relevant legal experience, with graduation before 2016.
Proven track record in FMCG, retail, hospitality, or other consumer-facing industries.
Strong expertise in corporate governance, distributor management, e-commerce, and compliance.
Fluent in English (both written and verbal) is essential for the role.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
