Your new role

• Independent planning and realisation of finite element simulation projects for our various business units and their customers
• Effective use of simulation to visualise, characterise and optimise sealing products, and build a fundamental understanding of the relationships between structural design, material properties and product functionality
• Developing new and unconventional seal designs in co-engineering projects with customers and supporting our engineering, sales and marketing teams with numerical simulations

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum Master’s degree in engineering or science, such as mechanical engineering, materials science, physics or applied mathematics
• Strong background in structural mechanics, materials and manufacturing technologies, preferably in the field of polymers and elastomers
• Knowledge and practical experience with the finite element simulation software Abaqus or Ansys for the analysis of non-linear problems using hyperelastic or plastic material models
• Experience with common CAD software as well as with programming languages such as MATLAB or Python is an advantage
• Fluent English
